Preity Zinta and Ritesh Deshmukh would accompany Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya while Shilpa Shetty (London), Madhuri Dixir (America, Vancouver) and Akshay Kumar (Toronto) would be the guest artists.
These stars ware likely to spill magic from 18th of July to 24th August in Toronto, Los Angeles, Trinidad, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, New York, Vancouver and London.
We talked to Preity Zinta on phone in this regard:
Q. People would be excited during the tour as most of the big stars are participating. Why is this tour so important for you?
A. This tour is very important for me. First of all, I am going with the Bachchan family and they are my very good friends- both Aishwarya and Abhishek. I respect Amitji a lot and moreover Shamak Davar is doing choreography for the show. Hindi film show would be shown in a different way and there would be a chance to meet my fans as well. I think this is the biggest reason for the world tour and who is not happy to see the fans around.
Q. Your first world tour was with Aishwarya and now you are meeting on stage for the second time with Aishwarya. How is your Chemistry with Aishwarya, she is a very good dancer too.
A. Yes Aishwarya is a wonderful dancer. I haven’t done any film with her yet but when we went for the first world tour, we became very good friends. I say it without any hesitation that I am the biggest fan of her on the stage. We are going for the tour after a very long time indeed.
Q. The ambience and energy during a live show is different than doing shooting for a film.
A. It is really different. A few days back, I was telling someone that IPL and live show have no similarities. The energy of the people in the auditorium is similar to that of the people in the stadium. F the energy is intact and similar, even a sick person would start dancing and jumping high on the stage. A live interaction with our fans is a different kind of experience.
Q. This tour would be like a break because you were very busy in the IPL.
A. Yes indeed. We would work on Saturdays and Sundays and then rest on the weekdays.
Q. People enjoy such shows a lot and it seems that you are enjoying a lot on the stage as well. How much hard work is being put behind this?
A. It is really very hard. Before going, everybody is busy for the performance. When you are staging a show of 3 three hours, you might not believe that more than 100 others are working behind the stage. Just like 100 people work for 150 days and a film of 3 hours gets ready. We would be traveling half the world and there is a lot of hard work involved. But when we see people happy and enjoying, we forget that all.
Q. What is the preview or an idea about the expectation of the people for this tour?
A. There would be a lot of responsibility on Shamak Davar that he presents the show in a wonderful manner. Amitji would be on the stage after a very long time and Abhishek is on a world tour for the first time. Vishal-Shekhar would be giving music and I hope that this show would be an unforgettable one for all.
